Guntur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Puli Srinivasulu directed urban planning and engineering officials to expedite the main road expansion work in Tarakarama Nagar. On Saturday (January 25), the Commissioner inspected various areas, including Tarakarama Nagar, SVN Colony, and Peda Palakaluru Road, reviewing developmental and sanitation projects.
During his visit, Commissioner Srinivasulu assessed the progress of the road expansion in Tarakarama Nagar. He instructed urban planning officials to coordinate with engineering teams and accelerate the work, allocating additional staff, if required. He also emphasised the need to provide compensation and TDR (Transferable Development Rights) bonds to affected property owners as per legal provisions.
In Peda Palakaluru, the Commissioner examined sanitation efforts and interacted with residents. He instructed the sanitary inspector to ensure cleanliness and directed the Deputy Executive Engineer (DEE) to address drainage and streetlight issues promptly.
While inspecting Peda Palakaluru Lake, he advised clearing jungle growth around the lake and suggested setting up borewells to enhance water supply in the city. He emphasised storing water in the lake for better utilisation in nearby localities.
