Out of nowhere, the upcoming and anticipated open-world title got overshadowed by Rockstar’s GTA 6. But there’s a twist to this tale for those who don’t know the entire story. Just when things kicked off in the right tone, with Starfield composer Inon Zur, an unexpected situation erupted shortly after his scintillating performance.

Host Geoff Keighley started the high profile event in the best way possible with Bethesda’s awaited Xbox exclusive. This time, the game unveiled a new trailer, showcasing its vast world in live-action through the characters and their amazing moments of space exploration.

Unfortunately, though, just when Keighley was about to welcome Todd Howard, the director of Starfield, a person came onto the stage. At first, he seemed like an enthusiastic fan approaching the host to show his excitement for the game. But he had other intentions - to disturb the flow of the event itself.

As one can clearly see in the livestreamed video, above, a man comes up to Geoff while screaming “GTA 6”. But wait, how come Rockstar’s yet-to-be-revealed installment made it to Gamescom? Well, it looks like someone was frustrated with there being no trailer or even a teaser so far. Hence, they decided to bring it to everyone’s attention by simply gatecrashing the event.

“This is such a special night for so many developers, it’s really disappointing to see someone act that way”, said the host. Obviously, he was not very happy with this incident. “But we’re gonna move on with the show.”

In case anyone missed to keep track of past events, The Game Awards from last year had also witnessed a similar incident. It happened when a 15-year-old ‘Bill Clinton kid‘ walked up to the stage and snatched the mic off the winners. He did it right after Elden Ring won the Game of the Year award.
