'Grimaced': Prince Harry's snide remarks that broke Kate Middleton's heart

Prince Harry once described Kate Middleton as the sister that he never had. Reports claim that even now they harbor soft feelings for each other and Kate Middleton is worried about homesick Harry. But it was Harry’s words that ruined the beautiful bond between them. In his memoir ‘Spare’ which was released two years ago, Harry accused Kate of stereotyping his wife Meghan Markle and said that her behavior left Meghan in teras.
Kate then asked for an apology from Meghan and then Kate grimaced when Meghan borrowed her lip gloss, Harry wrote.
“All this came on the heels of an awkward moment backstage. Meg asked to borrow Kate’s lip gloss. An American thing. Meg forgot hers, worried she needed some, and turned to Kate for help.”
“Kate, taken aback, went into her handbag and reluctantly pulled out a small tube.”
“Meg squeezed some onto her finger and applied it to her lips. Kate grimaced. Small clash of styles, maybe? Something we should’ve been able to laugh about soon after. But it left a little mark. And then the press sensed something was up and tried to turn it into something bigger. Here we go, I thought sorrowfully,” Harry wrote.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl said these words led to a complete breakdown of Kate and Harry’s relationship and Kate was very disappointed. “When you think of the personal revelations, and I think you can call them snide remarks made about Kate in Spare, Harry broke the one rule and that is staying silent on family matters,” Katie said earlier.
“I do know that William was very angry that Harry had drawn Kate into it when he felt Kate was blameless throughout. She acted very much as the peacekeeper, she tried to get the brothers back on an even keel and for Kate to be dragged into this mucky saga was upsetting for her and certainly did infuriate William.”
