Called ‘Help Me Visualize’, the feature allows users to generate backgrounds and images for their Google Slides presentation projects. The feature was first announced at Google I/O 2023 last month.

    To start using the feature, look for a ‘Help me visualize’ side panel in Slides where you can enter a prompt. Do note that the feature is rolling out gradually to users on desktop. It may not be available for every user right now.

    How to use new AI-powered feature on Slides

    First, you will have to sign up for Google Workspace Labs and agree to the terms and conditions. On Google Slides, use the “Help me visualize” prompt to create images using artificial intelligence. For example, you can ask Google Slides to create an image of a picnic or an abstract painting.

    Meanwhile, Google has started rolling out viewer mode in Google Meet. Viewers are defined as meeting attendees who cannot share their audio or video into the meeting. One can designate attendees who are leading, presenting, or moderating a meeting as co-hosts and contributors.
