Google recently announced several new artificial intelligence (AI) features, at its recently concluded Google I/O event. The tech giant has announced that Google AI features are coming to Chromebook Plus laptops. The new enhancements include Help Me Write, Gemini AI, Magic Editor, and more.

According to the latest Google Chromebook blog post, Chromebook Plus users will get new Gemini AI-powered features. Below are all the details.

Help Me Write: This feature uses Google AI to assist with writing tasks across various platforms, including websites, PDFs, and web apps. You can generate text from various sources and overwrite it with existing text to receive suggestions and enhance your writing.

Generative AI Wallpaper and Video Call Backgrounds: Google Chromebook Plus users can create customised backgrounds for video calls, with various prompts to choose from, ensuring a personalised and professional look in video calls or applying wallpaper on the PC.

Magic Editor: Google’s Magic Editor which was previously introduced in Google Photos is now available for Chromebook Plus laptops. You can select a portion of any image and edit it according to your liking. It allows for repositioning, removing or resizing any unwanted objects.

Google Gemini: Google will also integrate Gemini on the home screen of Chromebook Plus and will offer Google One AI Premium plan to new Chromebook Plus users for a year at no additional cost. Users will get up to 2TB of cloud storage and Gemini Advanced in Google Docs, Sheets, Slide, and the Gmail app.

Other new features include QR code scanning for setting up a new Android phone, GIF screen recording, and a new built-in view of Google Tasks.
