Good Bad Ugly trailer: Ajith Kumar and Adhik Ravichandran take us on a no-holds-barred fun ride | Tamil News

With just a few days left for the release of the much-awaited Ajith Kumar-starrer Good Bad Ugly, the makers released the trailer of the film. The teaser, which was released a few weeks back, went viral, and created the right kind of hype and expectations for the film. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, who is known for his loud but entertaining films like Mark Antony, is directing Ajith for the first time in Good Bad Ugly.

Good Bad Ugly marks Pushpa producers Mythri Movie Makers’ entry into Tamil cinema, and they have already lined up an interesting set of films, including Dragon-fame Pradeep Ranganathan’s next. Just like the teaser, which showed multiple facets of Ajith in various timelines and looks, the trailer also showcased the superstar in all finery, and with GV Prakash Kumar’s score elevating the proceedings, Good Bad Ugly shows enough promise to be a blockbuster theatrical experience.

In the trailer, we see all the primary players of the film, including Arjun Das, who plays the antagonist, and Trisha. There is an interesting turning of the tables as we are told what made the retired gangster, played by Ajith, come back to his violent ways. The trailer is cut in a rather fun and energetic way with Ilaiyaraaja’s Oththa Ruvaa Thaaren playing in the background, and gently giving way to Darkeys and his Puli number taking over the trailer. There are just enough punch dialogues, just enough action, just enough guns, and just enough glimpses into the plot to keep the hype up. As the trailer comes to a close, we see the mother of all surprises with Simran making a cameo.

The trailer cements the belief that this is an unabashed homage to the legacy of Ajith Kumar with a lot of references to the iconic characters played by him in his 33-year-old journey as an actor.

Good Bad Ugly, which is set to hit the screens on April 10, will not face any clash from Tamil cinema as its biggest competitor, Dhanush’s Idli Kadai, withdrew from the April race earlier today. Ajith, who was recently seen in Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidaamuyarchi, has been juggling his racing pursuits with his cinema career. Ajith has been winning in multiple races that are conducted across the world, and he recently returned to Chennai after a while.

Nevertheless, Ajith hasn’t announced his next project after Good Bad Ugly, and the industry is waiting with bated breath to see which filmmaker would collaborate with him next. While the names of Karthik Subbaraj and Prashanth Neel have been doing the rounds, there is also a speculation that Ajith would reunite with his frequent collaborator Siva, who recently made the Suriya-starrer Kanguva. Despite there being no official update about Ajith’s next, he had previously announced that he would act in films only when the races were not happening.
