Aamir Khan is all set to work with director AR Murugadoss on the highly-anticipated sequel to the cult-classic ‘Ghajini’ released back in 2008.
The nostalgia factor seems to be playing its role, making many cinephiles excited about the project.

Ghajini was the first Bollywood film to hit the 100-cr mark at the Indian Box Office, with Aamir and Asin’s love story becoming an instant hit among the masses due to its emotional and impactful nature.
The film still enjoys popularity among the masses, with many of the clips and songs still going viral on the internet.

However, a significant section of people also think that a sequel to Ghajini is nothing more than a desperate attempt at milking the franchise for money.
Ghajini had a picture-perfect ending that gave a feeling of satisfaction to the audience. Restarting the story with no actual purpose can destroy the narrative, leading to a disaster like ‘Indian 2’.

AR Murugadoss’s time also seems to be against him, as Sikandar is failing to create any hype for itself, despite severe attempts by the makers.
He should be careful to not make the same mistakes as Shankar to prevent ending up with another Indian 2 for the audience.
It will be interesting to see how this scenario plays out, and whether or not Ghajini 2 can achieve even a fraction of the craze that its predecessor possessed.
