Shooters will also aim for medals in the women’s 10m air pistol and men’s 50m 3 positions events.
Led by PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy, the men’s and women’s badminton teams can also confirm medals at Hangzhou. Boxer Nikhat Zareen too can secure a medal on her Asian Games debut in the quarter-finals.
The Indian women’s hockey team, meanwhile, take on Malaysia in the Pool A match. Squash teams, too, will take the court in the semi-finals today.
The 20km race walk event will kick off athletics at the Asian Games 2023, followed by women’s hammer throw, women’s shot put and 400m races.
Indian athletes will also feature in basketball, chess, track cycling, golf, swimming and table tennis on Friday.
