Every year for Sankranthi, we have some issues or the other about theater issues. Sankranthi is the biggest season for film releases in Telugu and we will have 4-5 films testing their luck that season.
Sankranthi is one season where flops become average, averages become hits, and hits become blockbusters. So, everyone wants their film for Sankranthi.

In recent times, Dil Raju has ensured his film for Sankranthi every year and there are his distribution films.
For the last Sankranthi, we have seen Mythri Vs Dil Raju. And then, the ruckus that followed between Hanuman and Gunturkaram is well known.

This year, the scenario is different. It is Dil Raju Vs Dil Raju Vs Dil Raju
As of now, there are only three films for Sankranthi and there is unlikely a fourth film joining.

Ram Charan’s Gamechanger, Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaj and Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunnam are the three Sankranthi Releases.
Gamechanger is the biggest budget film of Dil Raju. Stakes are very high on the film. It is important that he gives a big release for the film. He wanted to postpone Sankranthiki Vasthunnam to another date.
But then, Anil Ravipudi was very keen on Sankranthi as his F2, F3, and Sarileru Neekevvaru did more due to Sankranthi effect.
He pushed Venkatesh to pressure Dil Raju. At one stage, Venkatesh reportedly told to transfer the film to Suresh Productions if there was any problem. Suresh Productions will pay up the cost incurred and would release the film for Sankranthi.
With no way out, Dil Raju agreed for Sankranthi release. So, his own film is in the way of the biggest release for Gamechanger.
And then, Daaku Maharaj is from Sithara Nagavamsi. Raju is the regular distributor for Sithara in Nizam. Also, there will be a natural demand for such Mass films for Sankranthi. Also, Balakrishna has been in supreme form in recent times.
Also, Balakrishna means AP Government now. Dil Raju has to be cautious about getting hiked rates in AP for Gamechanger.
So, Daaku Maharaj will also have a good release in Nizam.
There may be issues and comparisons about the theater count between Daaku Maharaj and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.

Everyone thought Mythri would enter the ring with their dubbing film, Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly making the contest uglier. But then, Mythri would not want to hurt the Telugu stars unnecessarily and so, pulled out of Sankranthi. This will come as a relief for Dil Raju.
