Game Changer vs. Pushpa 2 vs. Devara – Only One Turned Profitable

Tollywood is on a roll, producing back-to-back pan-India films. In fact, no other industry in India comes close when it comes to delivering high-budget pan-India movies.

However, the biggest question remains: how profitable are these ventures?

If we analyze three recent pan-India projects, the numbers tell an interesting story.

Starting with Devara starring Jr. NTR, the film collected $6 million ($6,077,213) in North America. Next, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, released in December, amassed a massive $15 million. Finally, Ram Charan’s Game Changer managed to collect just $2 million.

The question arises: which of these films is the most profitable in the pan-India segment?

Surprisingly, only one of them has yielded good profits. It’s Jr. NTR’s Devara.

While Pushpa 2’s impressive $15 million might look like a massive profit, but the distributor didn’t make a single dollar in profits due to the high acquisition costs.

As for Game Changer, it is a well-known story—it turned out to be an outright disaster in the U.S.

Among the three films, only Devara delivered reasonable profits for its buyer, making it the only success in terms of profitability.
