Freddie Freeman’s son Max, 3, is RELEASED from the hospital after ‘miracle’ recovery following rare nerve disease diagnosis

Freddie Freeman’s three-year-old son Max is ‘miraculously’ home after eight days in the hospital battling a rare neurological condition.

The LA Dodgers star and his wife Chelsea revealed earlier this week that Max had suddenly gone into full body paralysis.

The three-year-old was diagnosed with ‘a severe case’ of Guillain-Barre syndrome, a condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the nervous system.

The condition can cause weakness and paralysis and can also prevent a person from being able to breathe on their own. There are fewer than 20,000 cases in the United States every year.

On Sunday, the Freemans said that Max still faces ‘a long road ahead of him to regain his strength and relearn how to walk.’

But on Sunday, after the ‘hardest and scariest days of their lives’, the family revealed that Max is now out of the hospital thanks to a ‘miracle from God’.

‘After 8 long days in the Pediatric ICU we are officially HOME!,’ Chelsea wrote on Instagram.

‘Max still has a long road ahead of him to regain his strength and relearn how to walk. But we are so thankful to have our family back together.

‘Thank you God for this miracle. Also, thank you to our incredible team of doctors and angel nurses for taking such good care of our boy.’

Alongside the update on Max’s condition, Chelsea Freeman posted a picture of her husband carrying their son out of the hospital and a heartwarming video of Max being reunited with his two brothers, Charlie and Brandon.

On Saturday, she revealed that the ‘Dodgers Family’ had sent Max a card carrying ‘prayers and well wishes’, which she read to her son.
