A fire broke out at Silver Creek Materials, a sand and gravel supplier located in Tarrant County, Fort Worth, Texas, on Sunday afternoon. Thick smoke from the blaze was visible across the Dallas Fort Worth area, including Stockyards and Lake Worth.

Officials from the Fort Worth Fire Department, along with crews from multiple neighboring agencies—including Lake Worth, River Oaks, Azle, and Eagle Mountain fire departments—are on the scene working to contain the blaze. Authorities are urging residents to avoid the area to ensure emergency crews have full access.

Several witnesses took to social media to report the blaze.
“This happening right now. Silver Creek Material is having a huge material fire. Looks almost volcanic! I have heard that it’s a mix of old tires: Land reclamation project using tires. It’s possible that this could burn for weeks,” one person wrote on Facebook.
Another witness reported, “We can see a fire from a distance in Godley. Is there another fire or potentially this is it. This wind is awful. Prayers for safety.”
A third person wrote, “I live off Ten Mile Bridge, east of Boat Club, and there’s still so much smoke blowing by! Seems like a bad fire.”
Another resident reported, “We can see it over by Eagle mountain lake, the smoke is insane. Thank you to the firefighters !!”
