The current trend is overwhelmingly in favor of the re-releases. The most notable re-release in the recent past is Gabbar Singh which was released on September 2nd on the occasion of Pawan’s birthday.
Coming to the point, Mahesh Babu’s fans are now confidently saying that this is the perfect time to re-release Khaleja.

Khaleja was a theatrical debacle during the time of its theatrical release and now, there is a commotion to bring the film back to the theaters. Mahesh’s fans are confidently claiming the same.
However, it must be noted that Khaleja is indeed a rage on TV and digital platroms. But theatrically, the film was outrightly rejected during the time of release. For re-releases to work, they must invoke the masses to a great degree. On this front, we don’t quite know if Khaleja would be able to do it now.

Having a niche audience is one thing but pulling the masses in big numbers is different.
That being said, Khaleja has its own set of loyal fans and it does offer a new Mahesh to the viewers. So we can’t surely say if Khaleja would conclusively work or not if it is re-released. But what is sure that certain section would deeply be excited by the same.
