A Frontier Airlines flight from San Diego to Las Vegas saw flames and thick smoke emerging from the plane’s undercarriage during landing at Harry Reid International Airport on Saturday.
As per the CBS News, the incident occurred as Flight 1326 touched down, prompting an immediate response from emergency services. All 190 passengers and seven crew members were safely evacuated with no injuries reported.
According to airport officials, the aircraft experienced a “hard landing,” which led to the deployment of the Clark County Fire Department.

Frontier Airlines confirmed that the pilots detected smoke upon landing and declared an emergency. “The aircraft landed safely, and all passengers and crew were evacuated via airstairs,” said a spokesperson for the airline. All passengers were transported to the terminal by bus.
The flight departed from San Diego at 1:51 pm Pacific Time and landed in Las Vegas at 3:37 pm. While the fire was quickly extinguished, the cause remains under investigation. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a temporary ground stop while assessing the situation.
