All the five candidates who filed nominations for the MLC elections under the MLAs quota were declared unanimously elected as there were just five nominations for the five vacancies and no one withdrew the nomination.
Dasoju Sravan from Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) was elected as MLC under MLA quota.

While Vijayashanti, Addanki Dayakar and Shankar Nayak declared elected belong to the Congress party, Nellakanti Satyam was nominated by the CPI, and Dasoju Sravan by the BRS. They were all unanimously declared elected by the returning officer, Upender, who handed over the authorisation certificates to them.

The ruling Congress secured four seats with the CPI being its ally while the opposition BRS party could get only one seat. The BRS had four members whose term ended leading to vacancies for the election of the above members.

The BRS despite having 38 members (out of these 10 defected to the Congress) did not field a candidate for the second seat making it easy for the ruling party and its ally.
