A fire broke out at a high-rise at Peddar road in Mumbai’s Breach Candy on Saturday night. The level 1 blaze was reported on the 12th and 14th floors of the building at around 10 pm, according to the Mumbai Fire Brigade. The fire was brought under control after several fire engines reached the spot and helped vacate the fourteen-storeyed building. No injuries have been reported yet.

News agency ANI reported that two people were rescued from the 12th floor through the staircase while some remained trapped inside the building.

On Monday, a family of four including two children suffered severe burns after a fire broke out in a chawl at Mumbra, in Thane. As soon as the incident was reported, the Thane Municipal Corporation’s (TMC) Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) rushed to the spot and launched fire control measures.
