The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is facing a serious crisis after its defeat in the recent Assembly and Parliament elections. The situation worsened with Kavitha’s arrest in a liquor case, adding more trouble for KCR and KTR. And the troubles are not ending.
Now, Telangana Police have filed an FIR against K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of BRS, and other leaders for allegedly flying a drone without permission at the Medigadda (Laxmi) Barrage in Ambatpally Village.
The incident occurred on July 26 between 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM and was reported by Vali Shaik, an Assistant Executive Engineer, on July 29. The FIR details came to light today.
The complaint claims that K.T.R., along with former MLAs Gandra Venkataramana Reddy and Balka Suman, used a drone camera at the barrage without the required permissions.
Shaik noted that the Medigadda Barrage is a significant project for the Telangana government, and unauthorized drone activity could be a security risk.
The issue was reported to the police after drone footage appeared on social media. The Mahadevpur police in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district have now filed a case against K.T.R. and his associates under relevant laws.
Interestingly, this case echoes a similar situation from 2020 when BRS filed a case against CM Revanth Reddy for flying a drone over K.T. Rama Rao’s farmhouse. Revanth Reddy was accused of using the drone to spy on K.T.R.’s residence.
The rivalry between Revanth Reddy and K.T.R. has been longstanding, making this a classic case of retaliation (tit for tat).
