Farah Khan’s cook, Dilip, is a celebrity in his own right, with many viewers of her vlogs wanting to know about his personal life. In these vlogs, the choreographer-director shot with Bollywood celebs such as Aditi Rao Hydari, Sunny Singh, Anu Malik, Karan Johar and Archana Puran Singh. She also shot with television stars Karan Patel, Karishma Tanna, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya. The common factor in all these videos, which have garnered millions of views, is Dilip. The two share playful banter with each other, with Farah often poking fun at Dilip, and Dilip giving it back.
Farah often alludes to Dilip’s newfound celebrity status, because of which he has been able to build a big bungalow in Bihar. A couple of months ago, she gave a tour of Dilip’s village, when the bungalow was still under construction. The video has since garnered over 6.2 million views.
Dilip flew from Mumbai to his village in Bihar for 15 days, where he introduced audiences to his family, including wife Savita and three sons. Dilip also showed the cattle that his family owns, and also introduced audiences to his old parents. In the vlog, Dilip gave a tour of his farm, which had mango and bamboo trees, as well as a lake, where they go fishing and grow water chestnuts.
In a vlog with Karan Patel, Dilip demanded a BMW car from Farah ahead of his shoot with Shah Rukh Khan. Farah asked him, “Parso kiske sath shoot hai (Who do we have to shoot with day after tomorrow)?” Dilip quickly replied, “Shah Rukh Khan.” Karan Patel joked if he needs a driver, to which Dilip replied, “I will need one after Farah ma’am buys me a newer model of BMW.”
In the same vlog, Farah Khan shared that Dilip owns a bungalow in Bihar. Hearing this, Dilip added, “Yes, and it has six bedrooms, where my wife, children and parents live.” Dilip and Farah’s fun banter in their YouTube vlogs have earned them a loyal fan-base, making Dilip a household name.
