After months of frustration, fans of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar can finally rejoice. The iconic sci-fi film is set to return to theaters on February 7, 2025, marking its 10th anniversary.
When Pushpa 2 released in December 2024, it overshadowed other films, including the Interstellar rerelease, by filling all available screens.

While Pushpa 2 found success with its loud action and performances, many fans felt disappointed. Perhaps the only selling point working in favour of Pushpa 2 was it’s flavorful spectacle, which carried the film despite the shallow storyline and lack of any substantial characterization. The overabundance of mind numbing campiness of Dialogue earned it the tag of being “cringe” by many.
If we are to talk about spectacle, Interstellar offers that in abundance. Not just that, with its deep storyline, breathtaking visuals, and Hans Zimmer’s unforgettable music, Interstellar deserves to be seen on the big screen, especially in IMAX.

Now, Warner Bros. Pictures is giving Interstellar another chance to shine. Denzil Dias, VP and Managing Director of India Theatrical, expressed excitement about the re-release, calling it “a cinematic masterpiece” that fans must experience on the big screen.
This re-release is a win for true movie lovers. While blockbusters like Pushpa 2 may dominate the box office, films like Interstellar show what great cinema is all about. And while the two movies are good in their own right, there is no competition when we compare the two.
