In an exclusive chat with us, his ex-wife Dalljiet Kaur announced that she was tying the knot with UK-based Nikhil Patel and would move abroad after marriage with their nine-year-old son, Jaydon. So, when Shalin stepped out of the house after the season wrapped up last weekend, we asked him about it. The actor said, “I am yet to meet and talk to her. I am very happy for her. May God bless her and give her all the happiness she deserves. It’s normal for people to move on, and they should give life another chance. Some adjustments need to be made and that’s okay.”

Shalin and Dalljiet got married in 2009 and were embroiled in an ugly divorce battle, which came through in 2013. Today, the two are cordial and Shalin is in touch with Jaydon regularly. On the work front, Shalin, who came fifth on the 16th season of the reality show, has been finalised to play the male lead in Ekta Kapoor’s fantasy revenge drama Bekaboo. The show will also feature Eisha Singh and Monalisa.
