Veteran actor and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan recently opened up about a chilling shooting incident from his past, describing it as a “bad dream.”

In an interview, he admitted that after the attack, he feared being killed by his own security guards rather than feeling protected.

He talked about how no matter how many security personnel were around him, he still was an open target.

If someone wants to harm him, security won’t be able to do much, Roshan stated, talking about how he felt so vulnerable despite all the heavy protection.

After the 2000 attack, he was assigned two armed security guards who sat in the backseat while he sat in the front.

However, this arrangement made him extremely anxious, as he constantly worried that a misfire or sudden movement could accidentally harm him.

The presence of security guards also took a heavy mental toll on him. Even during his beach walks, the guards would follow him closely, making him feel claustrophobic.

This constant surveillance eventually led him to request the removal of his security detail, saying he would deal with any danger himself.

Rakesh Roshan is known for directing iconic films like Karan Arjun, Koyla, and the Krrish series with his son Hrithik Roshan, and recently appeared in the Netflix docu-series The Roshans.

Despite his past struggles, he continues to be a respected figure in Bollywood.
