Emraan Hashmi is back on the big screens with his upcoming film Ground Zero and the trailer for the film was released recently.
Emraan Hashmi plays the role of BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey in the film which is set in 2001 in Kashmir.

Although the Indian army wants to put an end to militancy, Emraan’s character thinks that it can be done by educating and altering people’s perspectives.
The rest of the trailer showcases the struggles soldiers faced in Kashmir during the time.

The BSF’s operation against Ghazi Baba, the perpetrator of the 2001 Parliament attack, served as the basis for the movie.
One of the most wanted terrorists in India was the leader of the Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). In August 2004, a BSF operation neutralized him.

As the film looks to hit the big screens on April 25th, the main role now stays in the marketing and promotion of the film.
There have been several films made on the topic of Kashmir over the years and it remains to be seen if Emraan Hashmi will be able to deliver something out of the box to attract viewers.
