Sreela Venkataraman, Tesla’s Vice President of Finance and Business Operations, has announced her departure after 11 years with the company.
Joining Tesla in 2013 as Director of Finance, Sreela Venkataraman witnessed the company’s significant growth.

Back then, Tesla had less than $1 billion in annual revenue, a market value of $4 billion, and delivered under 3,000 cars a year.
Today, Tesla’s revenue is nearly $100 billion, with its market cap soaring to $700 billion, peaking at $1 trillion during the pandemic.

Sreela Venkataraman, one of only two female VPs at Tesla, shared her pride in being part of this extraordinary journey.
She mentioned her contributions to Tesla’s global expansion, particularly in markets like China. She also highlighted the intense work environment at Elon Musk’s Tesla, remarking that it’s “not for the faint of heart.”

According to her, it is not easy to work with Elon Musk’s work culture.
In her farewell message, she expressed gratitude to her colleagues and said she plans to take a break to focus on family and personal well-being before seeking new opportunities.
Her exit follows other notable departures at Tesla, including CFO Zach Kirkhorn and several senior executives in recent months.
