    Drug Raids In Hyderabad Pubs

    The Government of Telangana has been working relentlessly on curbing drug consumption in the state and is continuously taking steps to dismantle the drug mafia.

    The Hyderabad police have been regularly conducting raids at various pubs across the city to crack down on drug rackets. Shockingly, drugs are being discovered in many of these operations.

    Last night, Excise and Enforcement officials raided five pubs in the city, where four individuals tested positive for drug consumption at two of the locations.

    Upon the orders of Drugs Control Administration Director VB Kamlaasan Reddy, officials conducted late-night raids across multiple pubs. The operation was led by Joint Commissioner Qureshi, Assistant Commissioner R Kishan, and Anil Kumar Reddy, in collaboration with TGNAB officials and the Excise police.

    A total of 33 individuals were tested using drug detection kits, with urine samples collected for analysis. At a pub in Madhapur, two out of seven people tested positive for drug use.

    At another pub in Jubilee Hills, two out of 12 individuals were found to have consumed drugs. All four who tested positive were from different cities, including Hyderabad, Srikakulam, and Warangal.

    Police have taken them into custody and launched a further investigation.
