The Hyderabad police have intensified their efforts to curb the growing drug culture in the city. They have been conducting a series of raids on bars and pubs over the past few months.
In the recent past, we have seen many reports of drug busts at these bars and pubs and also about arrests of both drug consumers and peddlers.

Last night, the Excise and Narcotics Enforcement officials conducted a joint operation and suddenly raided 25 pubs and bars across the Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts.
25 special teams were formed to conduct these raids. 12 teams raided pubs and bars in the Hyderabad district, while 13 teams focused on the pubs and bars Rangareddy district.

The raids started at around 10 PM and continued until 1 AM. During this time, officials used 12-panel drug detection kits to conduct on-the-spot drug tests.
These raids were carried out upon the orders of the Enforcement Director Kamalasan Reddy. The raids were supervised by Joint Commissioner Qureshi, Assistant Commissioners Kishan and Anil Kumar Reddy, and Additional SP Bhaskar.

Kamalasan Reddy has stated that such sudden raids will continue and warned that strict actions will be taken against any instances of drug consumption found in bars and pubs.
