By Grace Cyril: Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Tabu’s Drishyam 2 continues dominating the theatres. Even after two weeks, the film enjoys a stupendous run at the ticket windows. The Abhishek Pathak-directorial has ended two weeks in the theatres on a glorious note as it minted around Rs 163 crore. Meanwhile, the film had just taken seven days to cross the Rs 100-crore mark, and in 12 days, it minted more than Rs 150 crore. Drishyam 2 has been smashing several box office records.

Drishyam 2, directed by Abhishek Pathak, took a stupendous opening at the ticket windows on November 18 as it minted Rs 15.38 crore. Ever since, it has been unstoppable at the box office! Drishyam 2 has been extremely performing well at the box office, and will soon cross the Rs 200-crore club too. Due to positive word of mouth, audiences are thronging to the theatres to watch the film.
On Day 14, December 1, Drishyam 2 collected Rs 4.30 crore at the box office. Hence, the film managed to mint a total of Rs 163.47 crore at the domestic ticket windows. Drishyam 2 had an overall 13.34 per cent Hindi occupancy on Day 14. Meanwhile, Drishyam 2 surpassed the opening weekend collections of hit Bollywood films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Gangubai Kathiawadi and The Kashmir Files. It also has the potential of becoming one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2022.

Drishyam is an emotional thriller that deals with the story of a cable operator, Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay), whose life revolves around cinema and his family; wife Nandini (Shriya Saran) and daughters Anju and Anu. Tabu plays the role of IG Meera Deshmukh in the film. In Drishyam, Ajay played Vijay Salgaonkar, who protects his family at all costs after his daughter accidentally kills a boy.
After disposing of the boy’s body, Vijay removes all traces of proof and then takes a family trip to Panaji. They visit an Ashram, watch a film, and eat at a restaurant, creating their alibis. Drishyam is the Hindi remake of hit Malayalam flick of the same name, which was helmed by National-Award-winning director Nishikant Kamat. Drishyam 2, directed by Abhishek Pathak, follows the story after that.
