Puri Jagannadh’s 2019 blockbuster, ‘iSmart Shankar,’ left audiences eagerly awaiting its sequel, Double iSmart. However, the trailer of Double iSmart, starring Ram Pothineni, Sanjay Dutt, and Kavya Thapar, received mixed reactions.
The audience was impressed by Ram’s energy, his tapori Telangana accent, Kavya Thapar’s glamor, and Mani Sharma’s songs.

However, Sanjay Dutt’s getup, cringe comedy by Ali, brain transfer concept, and some over-the-top dialogues like, “Teri bhabhi hai Qutub Minar aur apun hai Charminar.. Dono mil jaye toh dil mai baji guitar,” didn’t impress much. The film releases on August 15.
Double iSmart is clashing with Ravi Teja’s Mr. Bachchan, directed by Harish Shankar. The film is an adaptation of Bollywood’s hit Raid.

Mr. Bachchan’s trailer, unveiled yesterday, also received a mixed response.
While Ravi Teja’s return to entertaining commercial films, Bhagyashri Borse’s sex appeal, Jagapathi Babu’s villainy, and action scenes looked good, the comedic elements and the commercialization of a serious film like Raid have raised doubts.
