Coming to the topic, the latest update is that the makers of Double Ismart have procured a ticket price hike allowance from the government of Andhra Pradesh. The film will have additional hikes of Rs 35 in multiplexes and single screens in AP.
It is evident that the makers are looking to extract that much extra juice from the Andhra market which is usually receptive to mass films.

That being said, it has been tough for most films to pull the audience to theaters in this tough market. At this time, Double Ismart going for a ticket price hike in AP is a bold move.
This could perhaps be seen as a power move from the makers of the Ram starrer as they could well be confident about the content and the theatrical pull of the film. Needless to say, milking that much in the opening weekend in the target B and C centers of AP is the need of the hour for Double Ismart.

This sure is a bold and arguably risky maneuver to go for price hikes and it shall be seen if this move would work out for the Puri directorial. The film is a mass actioner and it predominantly caters to the masses so this perhaps justifies the ticket hikes to a good extent, in defense of the makers.
