As the video went viral, X added community notes to many posts that Trump picked the bottle and tried to open it but then kept it back as he was answering questions.Later during the interview, he again picked up the bottle and had water. The water bottle was not meant for him and his was kept on his right side.

“Donald Trump was angry they didn’t give him a water bottle so he took hers but his is right there on the table to his right he didn’t notice it. This is his second watergate event,” another commented.
“Racist Donald Trump was seen grabbing a black female journalist’s bottle of water and tightening the cap after she turned around.
He was pissed and frustrated with her, because she was asking him questions he didn’t like,” a third user wrote.
“Donald Trump close the cap and tighten it up to make sure this journalist can not open her water bottle back lololol,” another post read.
“Trump’s supporters will say he took the water by mistake, but it’s pretty clear he wasn’t intending to drink – he had his own water – and he tightened the bottle cap furtively and quickly as she looked away,” theories kept pouring in.
The interview went horrible with Trump clashing with the journalists — he slammed them for being late, for being ‘disgraceful’, and then he said he doesn’t know whether Kamala Harris is Black or an India and that Kamala Harris never passed her bar exam. Then he said millions and millions of people across the border will take up ‘Black jobs’.
