After Don and Don 2, Farhan Akhtar is set to direct the third instalment of the series. However, instead of Shah Rukh Khan, the face of Don is going to be Ranveer Singh.

When the announcement for the film was made in 2023, fans had trolled Farhan’s decision to cast Ranveer. They said no one could replace the charm or Shah Rukh, especially Ranveer.
While we can’t expect Ranveer to be better than Shah Rukh, or as good as him, he could surprise. Farhan could manage to show us a different version of Ranveer as Don.

Every generation had their distinct face of Don.
When Shah Rukh was cast as Don, 90s people had said that he wouldn’t be able to compete with Amitabh Bachchan. However, his performance was spectacular in the remake.

Fans should have an open mind about casting Ranveer as the new face of Don as he is one of the most celebrated faces of this generation.
What brings all the fans in unison though, is their doubts in casting Vikrant Massey as the villain in the story.
This choice is quite a controversial one as Vikrant doesn’t look like a menacing villain.
A hero’s impact is often defined by the strength of the villain. When a villain is truly terrifying and unforgettable, it allows the protagonist to shine. A lacklustre villain can fail to elevate the hero.
Many fans suspect that Vikrant is the right choice to play a strong memorable villain in the much celebrated film series.
As the filming for the movie starts this year, we can only hope that Don 3 is as good as its predecessors, if not better than them.
