BRS MLA and former minister Harish Rao made sensational comments in the assembly today. He said that drunk and drive tests should be conducted in the assembly too, alleging that a few MLAs are coming to the assembly in an intoxicated state.
Harish Rao’s comments were targeted at Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. Hitting back at Komatireddy’s comments about calling him a thief in the Kaleshwaram Project, Harish Rao made these remarks, indirectly targeting Komatireddy.

Requesting the speaker, Harish Rao said, “One small request, sir. Generally, we perform drunk and drive tests on roads. I request you to perform those tests in the Assembly as well because a few members are coming drunk in the morning.”
This led to a heated argument between BRS and Congress MLAs. Eventually, the speaker had to intervene and announce that the remarks would be deleted from the records.

Meanwhile, Congress MLA Beerla Ilaiah strongly reacted to Harish Rao’s comments. He said that Harish Rao made those comments, maybe thinking about his uncle (KCR).
He said that KCR is drunk and sleeping in the farmhouse, and that is why he is not attending the assembly. He added that Harish Rao doesn’t have the right to make such comments against Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
