There was once a time when KL Rahul was tipped to be the next big thing in his career. At one point, his finesse and gameplay were seen on par with some of the all time greats of the game.

But shockingly enough, the career graph of Rahul has only gone south from this early zest.
The situation is so outright bad that KL Rahul went from being the capital of Lucknow in the IPL to slipping to a position where he is not even likely to be retained by the team.

Apparently, Lucknow is not interested in retaining Rahul for the coming season and he might be out in the open market for the mega auction.
Rahul’s ungainly strike rates from the past and the lack of intent to win games have cost him big time already and things are only going south now. Not even having an IPL contract is not what was expected from Rahul back in the day.

A player who promised to be the next superstar of Indian cricket is now in a position to enter the mega auction as his old team is not willing to keep ahold of him.
If at all Rahul leaves LSG, then RCB appears to be a potential suitor. But there might not be too much interest from other sides in the league.
