One of the better-hyped films in Prabhas’s career that turned out to be an epic debacle is Adipurush. The film was directed by Om Raut who earlier made a well-presented Tanhaji and hence, the expectations were reasonably high on Adipurush.
However, the film turned out to be a huge disaster at the box office, despite the initial openings that were pulled through Ramayan factor and Prabhas’s pull.

Cut to now, Raut has sat down for a media interaction where he has spoken about Prabhas and Adipurush for the first time in a mainstream manner after the release.
Raut called Prabhas a “flop-proof” star who can pull off any film. While the integrity of the statement is alright considering Prabhas’s image, the director making this comment after delivering an utterly crappy product and that too on Ramayan is not sitting well with netizens.

There are series of trolls on Raut saying “The audacity of this man to call Prabhas a flop proof hero after delivering a dud like Adipurush is amazing. I need this kind of confidence in my own life” a netizen commented.
The director appeared to be of the implication that the 135 crore weekend in Hindi and the good start in the Telugu states are owing to his own prowess. But in reality, the numbers are solely due to Ramayan factor and Prabhas.
