After a press briefing that brutally backfired, Kim Soo Hyun and his legal team dismissed five photos presented by the platform Garosero as evidence to support their claim that he dated the late Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor. Kim Soo Hyun maintained that all the photos were from 2019, when Sae Ron was already 20 and legally an adult. However, the YouTube channel rejected his defense and doubled down, releasing additional evidence and photographs to support its claims. Garosero even alleged that it has access to all of Sae Ron’s electronic devices, including her mobile phones, tablets, and laptops, which are undergoing forensic analysis.
On April 2, during a live session, Garosero released chat exchanges that appeared to show Sae Ron frustrated over being repeatedly ghosted. Throughout the series of leaked text messages and screenshots, one pattern has caught everyone’s attention: the irregular timing of responses, particularly from Kim Soo Hyun’s side. In multiple texts, Sae Ron could be seen pleading with him to stop ignoring her and respond quickly, but he continued to dodge her messages. “Oppa, when you miss me and need me, you keep in touch with me without a problem, but when I need you, you’re always MIA. It bothers me that I can’t get in contact with you, and it’s inconvenient. If you don’t put in the effort, then I’m not seeing you anymore,” Kim Sae Ron is alleged to have texted the Queen of Tears star on April 13, 2018, at around 2 AM. Kim Se Ui of Garosero used this message to support his claim that the two were in a relationship at the time, arguing that someone who was just a colleague, a casual acquaintance, or merely on friendly terms wouldn’t speak with this level of emotional attachment.
One of the most damning pieces of evidence, according to Kim Se Ui, is an alleged photo of Kim Soo Hyun from 2017, which was reportedly taken by Kim Sae Ron. He stated: “Kim Soo Hyun, this picture’s metadata shows it was taken on September 20, 2017. What is your excuse? Kim Sae Ron was in 10th grade at the time. Do you remember which neighbourhood you were in on this date?” Additionally, another selfie from April 2017 allegedly shows Kim Soo Hyun at home. “This is probably a selfie, but isn’t this your house? Where you ate the spicy chicken stew? But on this day, Kim Sae Ron was only 16.”

Earlier at the press conference, Kim Soo Hyun stated that he would take legal action against those spreading false and unverified claims about him, including the YouTube channel and Kim Sae Ron’s family. Now, his legal team has filed an additional lawsuit against Kim Se Ui for stalking and defamation. In an official statement, LKB & Partners alleged that the YouTube channel has been relentlessly targeting Kim Soo Hyun in live broadcasts every day since March 10. “The channel has aired daily content about Kim Soo Hyun—excluding just one day—spreading false information about the actor. Further, Gaseyeon has indiscriminately disseminated photos and videos showing Kim Soo Hyun’s face and body, as well as private letters and messages, via its YouTube channel. In light of this, the only path to halting Gaseyeon’s “cyber wrecking” activities lies in a thorough investigation and stern legal consequences,” the statement read (Via Nate News).
