Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, was released on October 31st as a Diwali special and has acquired positive responses from both critics and audiences.
As per trade sources, as of now, Amaran has collected around 150 crores gross worldwide, and in many centers across Tamil Nadu, the movie is running with 80% occupancy on weekdays.

Also, Amaran’s tremendous box-office collections indicate that Sivakarthikeyan is officially nearing the big league, and in many centers, the collection of Amaran was more than Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan and Vijay’s Greatest of All Time.
In this scenario, there is a strong speculation that Dhanush is planning to collaborate for a movie with Rajkumar Periyasamy, who is the director of Amaran. The official announcement will be out in a few weeks, and still, the production house is yet to be finalized.
