N. T. Rama Rao Jr.’s Devara is all set for a worldwide theatrical release tomorrow, which is September 27th. Devara is going to be released in 5 languages, which are Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
In this scenario, Devara Tamil is facing a problem in Tamilnadu, as Karthi’s Meiyazhagan is also releasing on the same day. Many single-screen theatres in Tamilnadu prefer Meiyazhagan to Devara because Kathi is a minimum-guarantee actor in Kollywood.

Also, the runtime of both Meiyazhagan and Devara was around 3 hours, which is a gamble now as it is trouble for theatres to accommodate the show counts.
The major reason for the drawback of Devara is that the team failed to create much hype amongst the Tamil audiences. Previous blockbuster Telugu movies such as Bahubali and RRR have created huge expectations for Tamil audiences.
