Devara Hindi BO: NTR Emerges Third Biggest Pan India Star!

Devara (Hindi) had a strong opening day, raking in 7.50 crore net, with impressive growth in the evening shows. Initially, expectations were pretty low, with projections hovering around 6 crore net at best. However, the film surpassed all estimates.

Early bookings suggest promising growth over the weekend. This places Devara among the top openers this year in the Hindi market, alongside Kalki.

Jr. NTR’s previous film, RRR, achieved blockbuster success in the Hindi market, but it didn’t reach the iconic status like Baahubali, which helped Prabhas become a household name. This allowed Prabhas’s next film, Saaho, to open strongly, achieving HIT status despite the film being pretty bad.

Although the film was marketed as a pan-India release, many in the Hindi audience perceived Devara as a regular commercial Telugu action film dubbed in Hindi. Despite the trailer not getting a good response, not much promotions, and no hit songs, the film’s box office collection in Hindi is impressive.

For Devara to collect 7.5 crore on its opening day in Hindi is a big achievement for NTR.

While Jr. NTR delivered a solid performance in RRR, it wasn’t in a title role comparable to Baahubali or Pushpa, which tend to elevate a star’s status through iconic characters.

Clearly, NTR has emerged as the third biggest South Indian star in the Hindi market after Prabhas and Allu Arjun. NTR has achieved this without titular roles like Baahubali or Pushpa.

The film’s opening has really set up Devara. The film should get over 25 crore net in Hindi for the three-day weekend. Devara is all set to be a success, how big only time will tell.
