Jr NTR is set for the grand release of his pan-India film Devara on September 27.

Jr NTR expressed his mixed feelings about the upcoming release of Devara. Reflecting on his previous work in RRR, he stated, “RRR was an out-and-out Rajamouli film, so I was not worried and enjoyed all the promotional interviews without any pressure.”

However, he acknowledged the weight of expectations for Devara, noting, “With Devara, though I’m confident about the film, I can feel the enormous pressure now because this is my first solo release in six years.”

Working with director Koratala Siva for the fourth time, Jr NTR explained that while Devara was initially not intended to be a two-part film, the extensive runtime—over five hours—prompted this decision. He stated, “If audiences were open to a five-hour movie, we would have gone that route, but we chose to split it for better engagement.”

The title Devara reflects a male family deity in Telugu culture, highlighting a unique narrative. Jr NTR noted, “The film explores the idea that sometimes too much confidence can be detrimental,” contrasting typical hero portrayals in Indian cinema.

He praised composer Anirudh for his exceptional work, believing he has the potential for international acclaim. On co-star Janhvi Kapoor, he commented on her dedication in learning Telugu, calling her a talented addition to the cast.
