The Las Vegas Raiders are finalizing a trade that will send Davante Adams to the New York Jets, according to reports.
Adams’ NFL future has been the subject of intense speculation in recent months amid his desire to leave Las Vegas, where he spent the last two seasons.
And NFL insider Ian Rapoport now claims he is on the verge of joining the Jets, a move which will reunite him with former teammate and good friend Aaron Rodgers.
The three-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver previously spent seven years with Rodgers in Green Bay, and while they failed to make a Super Bowl together in that time, the pair formed a close relationship both on and off the field.

It is believed the legendary quarterback played a key role in the Jets trading for Adams, who is joining a team in disarray after three straight defeats and the firing of head coach Robert Saleh.
In return, the Raiders will reportedly acquire a conditional third-round draft pick which could become a second-rounder based on performance from the Jets.
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Adams is already in the Jets building as his trade from the Raiders nears completion.
