Daughter ties rakhi to Mahindra XUV700 7 seat luxury SUV after it saves her father’s life [Video]

A few days ago, a massive container truck fell on a Mahindra XUV700. The container truck crushed the roof of the Mahindra XUV700 but the passengers travelling in the vehicle came out safely. Now a new video shows one of the occupants, who is a small child tying a rakhi to the car because it saved her father’s life.

The video shows the small child tying the rakhi to the grille of the Mahindra XUV700 while her father who was in the car stood behind her. There was no one in the XUV700 at the time of the accident. The owner of the car came out of the vehicle without any major injuries.

A few days ago, a video of the crushed Mahindra XUV700 being driven in the service centre became viral on the Internet. The video shows that the car’s roof supported the massive weight of the truck, saving the passengers. Additionally, it kept the engine, steering wheel, and transmission in running condition. The beat-up vehicle likely reached the showroom on a tow truck, and then the employees of the service centre drove it to its designated place.

Truck was being repaired when it fell

The container truck was being repaired when it fell on the XUV700. According to the reports, there was a puncture on one of the tyres of the truck and it was being repaired on the roadside. The truck tipped over and fell on the XUV700 that was passing through. The XUV700 crushed completely.

Can accidents like this be avoided? Realistically, not entirely. However, one can be extra cautious when driving alongside heavy vehicles such as trucks. Quick overtakings can minimize the time spent beside these massive vehicles, potentially reducing the risk of such incidents.

    XUV700 won Safer Choice award

The XUV700 from Mahindra has been awarded the ‘Safer Choice’ award by Global NCAP, thanks to its exceptional performance in the crash tests conducted by the agency. The Mahindra XUV700 has become the second car in Mahindra’s history to achieve a complete five-star rating. The SUV received these crash test ratings based on the previous rules, which did not include a side crash test.

The Mahindra XUV700 was awarded a five-star rating by Global NCAP, scoring an impressive 16.03 out of a possible 17 points. Additionally, the car’s structure was deemed stable. The crash test also indicated that potential injuries to the front passengers were marginal. Notably, when subjected to child safety tests, the car received the highest points ever for any made-in-India car, achieving a rating of 41.66 out of a maximum of 49. The bodyshell and footwell area of the Mahindra XUV700 were assessed as stable.

This cumulative score achieved by the XUV700 stands as the highest among all the cars tested in Global NCAP’s ‘Safer Cars For India’ campaign. This remarkable performance earned the XUV700 a full 5-star rating. Interestingly, the Scorpio-N achieved an even higher score than the XUV700, undergoing tests with the new, more stringent protocols compared to earlier standards.
