Aamir Khan’s ex-wife Kiran Rao has revealed some secrets about their relationship. In a recent interview she has told how she tortured Aamir during the shooting of her film ‘Dhobi Ghat’.
Kiran Rao was the director of Dhobi Ghat and Aamir Khan was the producer. It starred Aamir, Pratik Babbar, Monica Dogra and Kriti Malhotra. It was a low-budget arthouse cinema and Kiran’s directorial debut.

The filmmaker said that she used to take other actors’ suggestions very seriously and treated them politely because she could not shout at them. But Aamir was not just an actor, he was her husband too, so she took the liberty of being rude to him for the film.
She said, “I was very patient with everybody else because, obviously, I couldn’t shout at anybody else, and I had to seem like I knew what I was doing with everybody else, but with Aamir, I could snap. He was my husband.”

But Aamir Khan approached her and requested her to treat him just like the other actors. Kiran realised her mistake and took Aamir’s suggestions from then on. She also praised his dedication and patience for the movie.
It was difficult for a superstar to do a movie like Dhobi Ghat and shoot even in the streets. But it went on to be Aamir’s one of the most memorable performances in his filmography.
