US vice president Kamala Harris and her running mate Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz, organized a campaign event in Glendale, Arizona on Friday, the rally attracted a massive crowd of more than 15,000 people who came to show their support for the candidates.
During the event, a Craigslist ad caught the attention of social media users with an advertisement offering a payment of “$15 per hour to actors” in exchange for their attendance at the rally.

The ad claimed, ” Actors/help needed for event tomorrow from 2-11pm, $15 per hour. Duties include protest activity and holding signs that are Anti-Trump. Minorities welcome and needed! Looking to fill about 500 spots.” The event was actually held at Desert Diamond Arena, contrary to the ad’s statement that it took place at the Phoenix Convention Center.
This misleading ad initially surfaced in August 2017, offering “$10 per hour for actors to pose as Trump supporters in Phoenix,” and then later in 2020 giving$15 an hour to demonstrate at the Phoenix Convention center.
The ad has since reappeared with various modifications, including a recent version from March requesting “Pro Trump attendees.” However, the ad lacked a specific date and is ultimately false.
Governor Walz was met with enthusiastic applause and shared stories from his past, including his service in the Army, his time as a high school social studies teacher and football coach, and his decision to enter politics
Harris for the second time in the week had to tackle protestors head on raising chants on the plight of the Gaza war at her rally. “Hold on a second, let me just say this, on topic of what I think I’m hearing over there,” Harris said.
The vice president, who is now vying to become the 47th president of the United States, said she along with Biden “are working around the clock every day” to reach a deal and bring home hostages remaining captive in Gaza.
“We are all in here together … because we love our country,” she added.
