The Sabarmati Report has been released today on the big screen. The film has been creating headlines ever since it was announced a few months ago due to the hard-hitting concept.
Meanwhile, it seems like the CBFC issued a certificate to the film without even looking at certain objectionable sequences.

The censor board always sends a film to the revising committee for scenes that might not be controversial but this time they have made a bigger mistake.
Notably, one of the scenes shows that the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup match is going on in 2007 and the Muslim community in Gujarat starts cheering for team Pakistan. At the same time, Vikrant Massey says that such things are common in India.

The question that arises is how the censor board ignored this scene. They need to understand that such sequences can lead to communal hatred and maybe something worse than that.
The scene might not be real and has been used as part of cinematic liberty.

But still, it is not advised to create sequences like that, specifically in today’s world where people don’t miss a single point in any film. It seems like the censor board needs to become strict now.
Earlier this month, CBFC ordered around 7 minutes of cuts from Singham Again, including a sequence where the text of Jai Shree Ram appears on top of a flag. This is one of the reasons why the action drama did not generate any controversy.
The Sabarmati Report is now available to everyone on the big screen and in case if anyone spots that scene, it might lead to trouble in the form of protests and other things. This needs to be fixed by CBFC in the upcoming few days to avoid any problems.
