YS Jagan Mohan Reddy rushed from Bengaluru to have a Press Meet in Tadepalli about the Adulterated Ghee usage in Tirumala after the matter hogged nationwide headlines.

The Press Meet that was supposed to be for Damage Control actually inflicted more damage to YSR Congress as Jagan proved to be totally inept and ineffective.
In the Press Meet that lasted for around 40 Minutes Jagan changed Goal posts for every 5 minutes. He seems to have followed the principle – “If you can not convince them, confuse them”.

He tried to do that in Six Steps
1. He started the Press Meet saying the routine that scheme did not start, this scheme did not start, volunteers missing, Button Nokkudu Missing, etc and concluded that Chandrababu brought this issue as a Diversion Tactics from his failures.

2. Next, he said TTD has best practices to reject adulterated ghee and the reports were of rejected samples.
3. And then, he tried to imply something is really wrong and Chandrababu is responsible for it. He read out the Sample Date in July and said Chandrababu is in power then.
4. In the next step, he tried to say the Report may be wrong because the Report itself says it can be wrong in certain cases.
5. Further he went on to say the Ghee is indeed adulterated but it was never used in Tirumala.
6. Probably at this stage, he felt he is fighting a losing battle and said the Government is not at all concerned with Tirumala and the Board itself is responsible.
The biggest problem with this Press Meet is Jagan himself is confused about how to address the issue. So, he tried to confuse the people by blaming Chandrababu Naidu.
Sometimes he says the mistake has happened. Sometimes he says it never happened. Sometimes he says it happened but Chandrababu is responsible and finally, says the board is responsible and his Government has no role.
Without saying anything substantial to claim his innocence, he only tried to bash Chandrababu in his usual style. This Press Meet even disappointed the YSR Congress supporters and leaders who were hoping for some way out of this mess somehow. But Jagan only complicated this.
Here is a twist in the tale. Jagan brought a big book of a prepared speech and was seriously reading from it and in the middle, someone is sending him chits to help further.
