A complaint has been launched against RGV and anchor Swapna for hurting sentiments. Rashtriya Praja Congress president and High Court advocate Meda Srinivas lodged a complaint with Three Town police station in Rajamahendravaram against film-maker Ram Gopal Varma and anchor Swapna for allegedly making hate speeches and hurting Hindu sentiments.
Srinivas complained that they posted on social media platforms Facebook and YouTube. Meda Srinivas was accompanied by his party workers while lidging the complaint. He submitted a written complaint along with documentary proofs.

Srinivas said that the comments made by Swapna and RGV hurt the sentiments of people and posed a threat to social and national integrity.
The complaint said that RGV spoke disrespectfully about Hindu Gods and made a mockery of sacred scriptures Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Srinivas cited the necessary sections from Bharat Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), he requested the police to file a case and take legal action against both of them.
