Commercial fodder farming to be allowed in 350 acres of govt. land along Godavari river, says Labour Minister

Minister for Labour and Factories Vasamsetti Subhash on Sunday assured to allow commercial farming of fodder in the 350 acres of land along the banks of the Godavari in Ramachandrapuram Assembly constituency in B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district. 

Addressing budding entrepreneurs at a meeting held here on identifying sectors for setting up of micro, small and medium industries, Mr. Subhash said that interested farmers would be encouraged to opt for production of commercial fodder in the 350 acres of government land along the banks of the Godavari. The meeting was conducted by the District Industries Centre.

“The dairy sector requires fodder, the cultivation of which can be recommended for budding entrepreneurs. The State government will extend support for the commercial cultivation of food and setting up dairy units in the primary sector,” said Mr. Subhash.

Coconut sector

Mr. Subhash claimed that there was scope for setting up micro and small units to come up with 15 value-added products of coconut in B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district. Collector R. Mahesh Kumar promised necessary support from the government for setting up of micro, small and medium industries in the district. District Industries Centre General Manager P.K.P. Prasad and other officials were present.
