Rangaiah, the watchman at the house of slain YSRCP leader Vivekananda Reddy has acquired significance.
AP CM Chandrababu Naidu too commented about his death and wondered how the witnesses were dying one after the other.

Babu said the same happened at the time of death of Paritala Ravi. The witnesses died one after the other. He told his partymen to be careful of YSRCP’s criminal tactics. Babu said YSRCP was capable of organized crimes and resorting to sophisticated criminalization of politics.
Given this backdrop and the likes of CM commenting on the deaths of witnesses in Viveka case, watchman Rangaiah’s death continues to be in limelight.

The police on their part conducted a re-postmortem of his body. Forensic experts from Tirupati and Mangalagiri along with some police officials were present during the procedure.
The body was checked to see if there were any marks of beating at Pulivendula’s Bhakarapuram graveyard. Rangaiah’s wife had complained to the police that her husband died under suspicious conditions.

The police have also initiated their efforts to look into the deaths of all witnesses in Viveka case and have put up a team.
