The makers of the iconic show CID are currently facing backlash from fans after officially announcing ACP Pradyuman’s exit from the show. Since Friday, rumours have been circulating about Shivaji Satam’s character ACP Pradyuman being killed off in CID. While the actor said he wasn’t aware if the makers were ending his run on the show, the channel officially confirmed on Saturday that ACP Pradyuman had been killed off.
Sony TV announced on X that ACP Pradhyuman is no more. Sharing a photo of the character, they wrote, “In the loving memory of ACP Pradyuman… A loss that will never be forgotten.”
However, the makers casually announcing the end of an iconic character did not go down well with the show’s fans. Slamming the makers, a fan wrote, “Shame on you, SonyTV seriously iss channel se kuch achhe ki ummind karna hi bekar hai. (It’s a waste to expect anything good from this channel.) Delete the post right now…” Another angry fan commented, “This is unacceptable, and shame on you, SonyTV. Have you lost your mind that you are writing this? There is only one ACP PRADYUMAN, and that is our dearly Shivaaji Satam sir.” Many fans even pointed out how a tweet like the one posted by the channel was a ‘big disrespect’ to not just the iconic character of ACP Pradhyuman, but also to actor Shivaji Satam.

Recently, Satam also reacted to reports of his exit from CID. He had told Mid-Day, “I am personally not aware if the character will be exiting the show or not. Currently, I am enjoying a nice long holiday and have not been informed about any future shooting for CID.”
In the latest episode of CID, filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia portrayed the villain, and it was a bomb blast orchestrated by his character that ultimately killed ACP Pradyuman. While fans are upset by this turn of events, some are eager to know what lies ahead for the CID team.
