Jingle Vibezz, a Christmas celebration jointly organised by the Varapuzha Archdiocese and Red Excel Media Hub, was inaugurated here on Saturday (December 21) by Archbishop Joseph Kalathiiparambil.
The celebrations, being organised at the St. Albert’s High School Grounds, are a coming together of a variety of entertainment programmes with Christmas as the central theme, said Fr. Yesudas Pazhampillil, the coordinator for the programme and spokesman for the Varappuzha archdiocese.
The programmes, to which entry is allowed with tickets, are on till December 28. T. J. Vinod, MLA, coordinator Fr. Pazhampillil, Corporation of Kochi mayor M. Anilkumar, Msgr. Mathew Kallingal and Sheri Thomas of Kerala Latin Catholic Association (KLCA) were among those present at the inauguration, said a press release here.
The programmes feature famous artistes like Jassie Gift, Sajin Jayaraj, Faiz Muhammad on Saturday. The second day of the programmes was marked by a comedy mega show led by Manoj Guinness and team. A Carol competition conducted by the Carol Competition Commission for Catechetics of the Archdiocese was the major feature of the second day.
Playback singers Vipin Xavier and standup comedian Rajesh Kadvanthara are the major attractions at the third day’s programme on Monday, which has been titled Moonlight Mega Music Event. On Christmas eve, there will be the ‘Art of Bubbles’ by Sahal Babu.
Kerala Vani Christmas Programmes will be featured on Christmas day along with a musical mega band with Libin Zakahriah in the lead. A Kerala Latin Catholic Association Christmas Utsav will follow on December 26. Kanjoor Nattu Polima Nadan Pattu (folk songs) will be the major attraction of the day.
A musical nite will follow on December 27 and a Youth Year Closing Ceremony will conclude the programmes on December 28. And Laya Tharangam, a Chenda Violin ensemble will be the major feature.
