Maddock Films is ready to present us with Chhaava, a spellbinding tale of the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Laxman Utekar, the film presents stunning action and the period appeal of Maratha warriors is brilliantly portrayed in the trailer. The star cast includes Vicky Kaushal as Sambhaji Maharaj and Rashmika Mandanna & Akshaye Khanna in prominent roles. Cherry on the cake will be AR Rahman’s music, the tremors of which could be felt in the teaser released today.

The film will be released on 6 December and it is set to be hailed all over Maharashtra as well as the nation. The legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is revered by all and Chhaava adds a wing to its crown by telling the story of his successor. However, in the past many period films in India have come under scrutiny by religious extremists. We can only hope this film shall not meet the fate of Padmavat, Adipurush or Brahmastra.
